About:
Alida is a relatively laid-back person. She enjoys meeting new
people and trying new things, especially finding new trinkets to buy (she's
an acquisitive little soul). This is a bonus, since the nature of her
home planet Tethys' erratic orbit takes it to the far reaches of the galaxy
and back. Over the years, Tethys and its moon Tyche have evolved into
a sort of spaceborne trading post. Travellers from all over stop on Tethys
to find and trade supplies. Alida herself runs a small shop that sells
souvenirs and rare timepieces. Her family doesn't think much of her choice
in occupation, but that doesn't bother her much - she's doing what she
wants to. Alida came into her Senshi power fairly early on, and had the
benefit of being trained by her grandmother before she passed away. She's
comfortable with her role in life and with her powers.
Her hobbies include macrame and building dollhouses, and she's been known
to do a little fortune-telling now and then for spare change.

Tyche is the patron Senshi of Tethys, a planetoid on the outskirts of a solar system not far from our own. Tethys' rogue orbit carried it out of its home system millennia ago, along with its asteroid-moons Tyche and Nemesis. Nemesis disappeared at the farthest point of Tethys' journey, along with Tyche's sister-Senshi Sailor Nemesis.
The current Sailor Tyche is a direct descendant of the original Senshi, but has powers different from those of her ancestress. This is likely due to the loss of Sailor Nemesis, since both Senshi had served to protect Tethys as a pair. Tyche now has abilities similar to those of her lost partner, taking her from the role of a lesser Senshi to a dangerous force.
The rulers of Tethys long ago decided to release their line from the "curse" of Senshi service. In attempting to destroy the Tethys Crystal, they instead split it into two separate Sailor Crystals, which became those of Tyche and Nemesis. The royal family has long since died out, but some anti-Senshi sentiment remains. The governors of Tethys appreciate Tyche's efforts to protect the planet, but don't like to deal with her in person if they can help it. Tyche prefers to stay on her asteroid, and tries to warn wandering Senshi about the social climate down below.
Quirks: Gets ditzy when she's nervous or upset.
Likes: Iced tea, curios and figurines, and has a secret passion
for all things miniature.
Dislikes: Being hurried, bad puns, and rowdy children.

Abilities:
Tyche can deflect incoming attacks with the rudder at the bottom
of her staff. This is not recommended, as deflected attacks tend to ricochet
in completely random directions.
She can also see and read the "fate threads" of people, which
look to her like red strings.
• "Wheel of Fortune": Summons the Wheel
of Fortune itself. Tyche spins the Wheel to generate energy, which manifests
in the form of a random element-based energy attack (fire/water/air/earth/light/dark).
• "Thread of Fate": Tyche removes one
of her own hairs and winds it around the spindle on top of her staff.
Energy attack.
• "Blind Justice": Tyche uses one of
her hairs to ensnare an opponent, and then draws one of their own fate-threads
out of them, winding it on her spindle. This thread is transformed into
an energy attack which is then directed at the captive. This attack removes
a year of the victim's life - any year at any point, past or future, erasing
any memory of the time lost. Depending on how that year was lived, the
resulting energy blast varies in effectiveness - a year lived with evil
intent more greatly damages someone who's basically good, and vice versa.
In theory, Tyche could draw a thread from an ally or bystander with a
purely good or evil life in order to attack a purely evil opponent, but
she prefers not to do this without permission.

Notes: Tyche's original design was adopted from Sailor Nightmare at the ToT Forum. Further development came when Rikku ran a contest to "Create Your Own Olympia Senshi". The contest went pretty much nowhere, Rikku left the fandom and the forum and dropped her SM characters entirely.
Obvious
references to Olympia canon have been removed, but I'm keeping the design.
There may be a Nemesis to go with Tyche sooner or later.
Tyche's civilian name is vaguely Greek in origin. The first name, Alida,
supposedly means "little winged one". Her last name, Ousias,
is very, VERY loosely based on the Greek for "fortune".
Her similarity in coloring to Sailor Pluto is something I didn't notice until I was finishing off her reference sheet. Skin, hair, and eye color aren't much changed from the original adopted image. I'm toying with having her be some alternate version of Pluto, but eh.
