Sailor Nequerion |
Name:
Aqua (front) About:
Aqua and Vita have an overall leathery, desiccated look, and
ill-assorted, withered limbs. Their hair, while on the long side, is anything
but lustrous - it looks more like dusty Spanish moss or thick cobwebs.
They also have visible stitching, ranging in quality from near-invisible
to something best termed "hack-job", on their limbs, faces and
torsos. Their movements are generally somewhat clumsy, though they come
across as more graceful than the average zombie. Once, long ago and in a place so unremarkable that both name and location have been lost to the sands of time, there lived two young girls - Aqua and Vita are the names we shall give them, as any they may have been born with are as lost as the name of their home. Virtually inseparable, they were the very best of friends until Vita's idea of friendship turned into something more. And then one autumn, the carnival came to their town... a strange affair it was, operated by the most bizarre of carnival freaks. The very air of the midway seemed to whisper promises to the children. To Vita, it spoke of friends never to be parted, and one night, she convinced dear Aqua to come to the carnival with her, to see something very special indeed. The girls died during their assimilation, but (unbeknownst to all) the stronger of the two, Vita, had a Sailor Crystal-level Starseed which reacted strangely with the carnival's own dark brand of magic. Aqua and Vita's bodies fused together, and they exist in a sort of undeath, similar to the concept of zombies or flesh golems, kept "alive" by the power of the Starseed. As a result, they became the "Siamese Lovers". Vita has embraced their new life. Aqua, having been tricked into this, is unhappy and has tried on several occasions to kill the both of them by holding her breath. She tends to forget this isn't a threat. Mr. Dark allows them out to drum up business masquerading as schoolgirls, but only at night. The location of their tattoo on the Illustrated Man's person is a secret. While the
Starseed does keep them functioning, in its split state it doesn't give
them full Senshi ability. In a sense, they share its power and as such,
that power is diluted. They don't henshin and have no major offensive
attacks. The show they put on for the carnival-goers is risque to say the least, as whatever transformation they went through only seems to have intensified Vita's tendencies (this personality change may in fact be due to the division of her Starseed). Children are strictly forbidden to enter their area of the carnival. Senshi

Characters: Notes: Nequerion is a crossover of sorts with the always-wonderful literary world of Ray Bradbury. In this case, Something Wicked This Way Comes. I am not in any way attempting to trample on toes or beloved concepts of much-loved stories - the concept of the carnival and what it does was just too intriguing to pass up. |
