About:
A'Shira are twins, completely identical in appearance and usually
referred to in the singular. The speaker for the pair (referred to as
A) has the more dominant personality - her sister (B) is much more soft-spoken,
when she speaks at all. Previously the Senshi of a binary system within
Zaynab, disaster struck when B's star unexpectedly collapsed. As a result,
B essentially went insane, becoming completely dependent on her sister
(solar Senshi live as long as their stars do, barring mortal injury, and
as B's star still exists, so does she). A snapped under the pressure,
going completely feral and attacking foe and ally alike. They were soon
corralled and healed to an extent - A is her sister's keeper, as B never
quite recovered. Consequently the two retired from active Senshi duty
and now act as guardians of Zaynab's equivalent of the Galaxy Cauldron.
Seeing A'Shira (they always travel together, as they refuse to be separated)
is taken as a good omen, meaning a new star has been formed and soon a
new Senshi will be chosen.
Once upon a time they both had real names, but their system is one of
Zaynab's oldest and people have long since forgotten A'Shira's individual
names. B's paranoia prevents her sister telling anyone else what to call
the two of them.
They never leave their galaxy.
Quirks: A'Shira A, while saner than her sister, has a
tendency to revert to her feral nature in a fight and is known for almost
animalistic behavior in battle. B is the only person capable of snapping
her out of this state.

Abilities:
A'Shira can scry in any black, reflective surface, and can 'see'
the area around any Zaynab Senshi, wherever that Senshi may be.
•"Shirazadi Star Arrow": A joint ability.
A'shira channels energy through her sister, the two of them ending in
an almost dancelike pose, A poised behind B like an archer with a bow,
B being the bow. This creates three energy 'arrows', with an attack radius
of ten feet. It can be combined with similar abilities belonging to the
other Zaynab Senshi (Na'Adema's Ademos Star Shower being one of these).
•"Seeing Eye": A dual-use ability. In
battle this provides foreknowledge of the origin and type of one attack.
Outside of battle, it can predict major events tied to one person up to
three hours in advance.

A'Shira are the result of a design challenge at the ToT
Forum run by MoonlightAura.
The theme for this particular challenge was wolves. I went off on a number
of tangents during the process and ended up going from wolves to Sirius....
On a side note, A'Shira A appeared on the Angel
Fall forum as a practice AI named Sirius A, so I could basically test
out her personality. B has since made an appearance as Sirius B, who is
a 'glitched' version of A that looks and acts like a werewolf. |
